Recognising those who make a difference
The 2012 brandhouse Responsible Drinking Media Awards recognises journalistic efforts in supporting, promoting and contributing to the Responsible Drinking agenda and ultimately to helping change consumer behaviour.

The aim is to encourage journalists to use their individual approach and messaging influences to shape perceptions and behaviour around the misuse and abuse of alcohol.

Three finalists will be chosen by category, with the winner in each category receiving prize money to the value of R10 000.

To address the continuing problem of alcohol abuse affecting the lives of thousands of South Africans each day, brandhouse is recognising journalists who use their influence to make a difference through educating and informing the public.

These issues include, but are not limited to drunk driving, underage drinking, foetal alcohol syndrome, binge drinking and alcohol-related violence.
